Morning: Rustaveli Avenue

Start at the square — look at the Freedom Monument, then head north up Rustaveli Avenue.

Along the avenue you pass the Parliament of Georgia, the Opera House and the Georgian National Museum.

Afternoon: Old Tbilisi

Return to the square and walk south into the streets of Old Tbilisi — Kote Abkhazi Street leads down towards Sioni Cathedral.

Then continue to the Bridge of Peace and Rike Park, from where a cable car climbs to Narikala Fortress.

  • Sioni Cathedral — historic cathedral near the river
  • Bridge of Peace — the modern pedestrian bridge
  • Rike Park and the cable car up to Narikala

Evening: Narikala and Abanotubani

From Narikala Fortress you get one of the best views over the city — especially at sunset.

On the way down, visit the sulphur baths of Abanotubani, then return to the square for dinner.
