Best time and light
Golden hour — the hour after sunrise and before sunset — gives warm, soft light and long shadows.
In the evening the monument is floodlit, so a tripod and a longer exposure help you get a clean night shot.
Where to shoot from
For a full-height shot of the monument, step back to the perimeter of the square or to the top of Rustaveli Avenue.
A wide angle captures the whole square, including the City Hall building that faces it.

Practical tips
The square is an active traffic hub — shoot from the pavement, not from the roadway, and stay aware of traffic.
Be respectful of the place: if you photograph people close up, ask permission first.
