What to paste into navigation

The address “2 Freedom Square” works, but some apps resolve it to a neighbouring street. The Plus Code is more precise.

Paste MRV2+8J or the coordinates 41.6933186, 44.8015038 and the map will place you on the square itself.

  • Address: 2 Freedom Square, Tbilisi
  • Plus Code: MRV2+8J
  • Coordinates: 41.6933186, 44.8015038

Why the Plus Code helps

A Plus Code is a short text version of a coordinate. It works in Google Maps and in most other mapping tools.

If the code is not recognised, fall back to the full coordinates — the result is the same point.

How to recognise the spot on arrival

If you have arrived at the right point you will see an open square with a granite column at its centre and the City Hall building alongside.

The metro exit also opens onto the square, so it is hard to be in the wrong place.
